This dance’s opening is the seeding of spiritual & relational context through which we collectively architect a space that allows for Great Spirit to arrive and to do its work within us.

It’s closing has two parts.

[1:18:20] An invitation to pause and to engage in a practice that is the somatic strengthening of communal bonds and healing around our wounds of separation and worthiness.

[1:30:15] In it’s closing, our vessels have been emptied and our hearts are open. In that richness of soil we continue to seed, through prayer, the world that we know is possible.

Prayerful Ecstatic Dance

Let us remember the old ways, when we came together and danced around the fire.
Let us remember the old songs, those that lived within our ancestors and are alive within us still.
Let us remember the old agreements, those that held sacred all of our relations.
Let us remember the old ways, and together create a new way forward.

Our dance will be a weaving. Drawn from spools of our infinitely unique stories and woven together, thoroughly and tightly, into a tapestry of prayer steeped in the knowing that our conscious inter-connection is sacred and necessary for our collective liberation.

This will be an opportunity to release anything that no longer serves us through the agreements of Ecstatic Dance while we somatically architect a new way of being together that honors self, community and cosmos.

Through this ritual of intentionally coming together we are discovering, breath by breath, what it means to be alive and walking together in a good way.

Musically, expect world sounds and instruments, a lot of bass and anything else that calls forth the body and soul. This will be a journey from slowness, through various rhythms and beats, into chaos and finally settling into the heart of breath and connection.

BIOGRAPHY

Elohim. When I received this name it was as a Force, one that weaves the formless into form. I know this force as Creation and I honor it as Creator. I call to it in prayer as Great Spirit and I surrender to it as the Great Mystery. This force, the source from which all is poured.

All that I offer in these spaces. Words. Guidance. Ideas. Longings. Dreams. Stories… I offer in service to myself (because I love being and enacting the work) AND to all of us in service to the more beautiful and harmonious world we know is already being birthed.

I have been holding and guiding intentional healing spaces for over 9 years alongside breathwork, dance, plant medicines, sound, song and prayer. What I believe is that there are certain parts of ourselves that need to be expressed and witnessed within the context of inter-connection. That we can do as much healing as we want to on our own and yet we must also, absolutely, heal together through the expression and witness of community. I am here to hold and to guide us to those places within ourselves that are asking for our attention. That are asking for our love. All those parts of ourselves that will guide us back to our fully Liberated Hearts.
